What heights would you go to have the perfect wedding day? For one couple, an easy 17 000 feet would suffice. While most couples dream of warm weather, wine farms or golden beaches to say their “I do’s”; Ashley Schmeider and James Sisson thought Mount Everest was the perfect spot when choosing where to say their “I do’s”.
When the couple decided they wanted to get married on Mount Everest, they spent an entire year planning and training for the big day. The journey took three weeks and was a test of their physical and mental endurance.
What a way to test the strength of a relationship, right?
Ashely, James, and their photographer, Charleton, spent 3 weeks making their way to the Everest base camp.
The couple and company trekked 17 000 feet through snow, freezing temperatures, and high altitude.
